Martino Tan is the Managing Editor, overseeing the Mothership editorial team. Mothership is Singapore’s leading youth-focused digital news platform and is the most frequently used news source in Singapore, according to the Reuters Institute Digital News Report 2022. Prior to co-founding Mothership in 2013, Martino was a civil servant, involved in online communications and media relations at the Prime Minister’s Office and then Ministry of Information, Communication and the Arts. He serves as a School Management Committee member at his alma mater Catholic Junior College. He is also a member of Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS) Communication Programme Advisory Committee, and serves as a Member, Advisory Council on Community Relations in Defence (ACCORD), MINDEF.
