Editor, La voz de Guanacaste, Costa Rica

Editor and journalist dedicated to learning, reporting, research and writing stories about the local government, climate change, gender and human rights. Over the past five years she has worked at La Voz de Guanacaste, a regional and bilingual media that investigates and reports on what is happening in the northern, coastal and border areas of Costa Rica. She led the first project on solutions journalism in a Latin American newsroom. She participated in the transnational investigation Migrantes de Otro Mundo, coordinated by the Centro Latinoamericano de Investigación Periodística (CLIP), and produced two of the episodes of the first podcast of La Voz de Guanacaste about the frontier mapped by COVID-19 and the fear in the communities between Costa Rica and Nicaragua. With the La Voz de Guanacaste team, she won the Ángela Acuña Braun National Award for Gender Equality and Equity and an honorable mention in the Pío Víquez Award, the highest journalism award in Costa Rica.
