In order to extend the competition to media companies that have launched outstanding digital projects, but often do not compete on a level playing field and resources compared to larger media outlets, WAN-IFRA will award a small winner or venue in each category.
How does it work?
Media outlets with newsrooms of less than 100 journalists will be eligible.
This prize will be awarded to the small or local medium that has obtained the highest score in each of the categories of the competition.
If your outlet belongs to a larger conglomerate, please only indicate the number of journalists in your division.
WAN-IFRA reserves the right to decide which companies are eligible for the small or local media awards.
