Recognising the best projects in the news media industry
Winners Announced!This registration process is simple and includes the following steps:
Step 1 – Create a personal profile at https://wan-ifra.awardsplatform.com/ and verify your new account from the confirmation email.
Step 2 – Once you are logged in, you can proceed to register under [Enter].
Step 3 – Payment: A fee of EUR 100 + VAT per submitted entry applies. Payment can be made only by credit card. The online payment is at the entry submission, and you will receive a payment confirmation afterwards.
The competition is open to all news media companies and entities affiliated with the news media industry in the Middle East. Entries must be prepared and uploaded by the news media organisation, news media organisation representative, advertising agency, or public relations firm working on the company’s behalf.
If you are an agency submitting on behalf of a media house, please note that the media house will be credited as the winner. Therefore, when filling out the application form, please insert the name of the media house as the company name. If your agency should also be credited, kindly include your agency name within brackets next to the media house’s name.

The competition is open to all news publishers in the Middle East.
All entries must have been published between May 2022 to June 2023.
Yes, you can submit different projects for the same category.
Yes, you may submit the same project to different categories provided that you are able to justify and explain why they qualify for the different categories.
Syndicated material or campaigns that are not specifically prepared for your company are not eligible. WAN-IFRA reserves the right to disqualify any entry that fails to conform to the rules. Disqualified entries will not be judged. Fees for these entries will not be returned. WAN-IFRA is not responsible for materials entered in the competition.You will be also disqualified if you have not paid the entry fee.

Every year we select a new panel of judges who epitomize the best of their respective fields and have the experience and expertise for the year’s set of categories. They are senior leaders from different news publications, advisors, and industry experts from across your region and represent the full scope of the continent. Our goal is to ensure a high standard of integrity and an unbiased view for our judging process.
Yes, you can return to your entry to make any changes yourself (up until the entry deadline).
Please do not include confidential information in your entries.
Participants must grant WAN-IFRA the full rights to retain and use, free-of-charge, any images or material from the contest for publication in books, exhibitions, websites, or for educational and promotional purposes.
