Alfonso Gómez Palacio

CEO Telefónica Hispam, Colombia

Alfonso Gómez Palacio is colombian, he is a lawyer from the Pontifical Javeriana University, has studies in Political Science from Loras College (Dubuque – USA), in Taxes from the University del Rosario and was part of the Senior Management Program – PADE – of INALDE Business School. Since 2019, he has been the CEO of Telefónica Hispam, responsible for all the assets and Company operations in Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Peru, Uruguay, Venezuela and Mexico.

He has been linked to the telco sector since 1998. In 2002 he chaired Telecom, a state company telecommunications, leading the process of transformation and creation of ColombiaTelecommunications S.A. ESP as the new operator of telecommunications services in charge of the Colombian State, as well as the subsequent linking of Telefónica as a partner strategic in 2006.

Digital and AI innovator. Consultant Associate at Fathm, Colombia

Claudia Báez is a digital and AI strategist, innovator, and entrepreneurial executive who advises organizations and leaders on the ethical integration of emerging technologies and on building institutional capacity for transformation at scale. As an Expert Network Member at Fathm, she designs and facilitates global AI adoption programs for WAN-IFRA–OpenAI, Google News Initiative DeepMind, and the Thomson Reuters Foundation. She also serves as a member and mentor at the International Press Institute. Claudia co-founded and served as CEO and General Director of Cuestión Pública, an award-winning Colombian investigative media outlet. Her work in entrepreneurship, data-driven journalism, and investigative journalism has earned her international recognition, including a U.S. State Department Alumni Impact Award.

Daniela Pérez Cantú

Antes de unirse a Google, Daniella trabajó en 3M como Coordinadora de Marketing y en DuPont en el área de Protección Personal. Después de su MBA, se unió a Mercado Libre como Gerente de Cuentas Senior para MercadoPago y luego trabajó en Uber como Líder de Asociaciones Estratégicas para Cuentas Nacionales en Uber Eats.

David Matoses

CEO, Casa Editorial El Tiempo, Colombia

David Matoses Peraire is the General Manager (CEO) of Casa Editorial El Tiempo S.A., one of the main media companies in Colombia, based in Bogotá. Under his direction, the company has continued with the digital transformation of businesses, taking care of the traditional area, merging and integrating two very disparate cultures. In recent years he has worked on the implementation of innovative initiatives with the use of artificial intelligence to improve the reader experience, internal processes and the personalization of user experiences.

He has over 15 years of international experience in the media and entertainment industry, startups and innovation. He is a former executive of RBS Group (Brazil). Emilia Restrepo Gómez

Felipe Cabrales Urdaneta

Born in Barranquilla, Colombia, he is CEO of Prisa Media America and President of Caracol Radio. During his 25-year career in media in the region he has served, among others, as General Manager at Discovery Networks for the north of LATAM and as CEO at Mindshare, a media agency of the WPP group. In 2022 he was chosen by Bloomberg as one of the 500 most influential people in Latin America. Felipe is a graduate of Social Communication and Journalism from the Universidad del Norte in Barranquilla.

Fernando de Yarza López-Madrazo

Fernando de Yarza is the President of Henneo, a news media group that includes 20 minutes and Heraldo de Aragon (Zaragoza, Spain). He is Vice-President at the Spanish Association of Information Media (AMI). Fernando de Yarza López-Madrazo was elected President of WAN-IFRA in June 2019.
